Paralegal/Legal Assistant (Contract)

Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support a family law firm on a contract basis in Phoenix, Arizona. This position requires an individual with experience in civil litigation (family law is a plus). As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will assist in handling high-profile cases while contributing to the smooth operation of a well-established legal practice. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and draft basic motions for attorney review, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards. u2022 Conduct e-filing and document redaction with precision and efficiency. u2022 Manage discovery processes, including gathering and organizing evidence and client information. u2022 Coordinate trial preparation activities such as calendaring, docketing, and maintaining detailed case files. u2022 Collaborate with a small team of attorneys and staff to uphold a friendly and team-oriented culture. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant with a focus on civil litigation and/or family law. u2022 Proficiency in drafting legal motions and conducting e-filing processes. u2022 Familiarity with discovery procedures and trial preparation techniques. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in calendaring and docketing tasks. u2022 Ability to work independently with minimal training or supervision.
