Consideration for location will be Bank Plaza - Wheeling, WV and Cincinnati LPO - Cincinnati, OH.MarketWheelingWork Hours per Week37.5RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required.Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar required.Minimum of 10 years of progressive litigation experience, including previous in-house experience at a financial institution required.Proven track record of managing high-performing legal teams and overseeing complex, multi-jurisdictional matters required.Job DescriptionSUMMARY:Manage all phases of litigation in areas of regulatory complaints, consumer arbitration and litigation as well as discovery, including case strategy, witness interviews, issuance of hold notices, pleadings, motion practice, discovery oversight, resolution and manage and coordinate outside counsel, including reviewing work product, approving strategy, monitoring budgets, and evaluating performance.Serve in a key advisory role, providing guidance to bank managers on legal developments affecting all aspects of Credit Administration and Special Assets litigation and disputes including originations, default operations and servicing, including regulatory matters involving SCRA, TCPA, TILA, RESPA, FCRA, FDCPA, UDAAP, Fair Lending, ESIGN, TCPA, EFTA, Reg E, Reg CC, bankruptcy and state consumer laws.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Monitors and interprets emerging and current regulatory developments affecting financial institutions in the space of litigation, provide ongoing, practical guidance on impact to products, services, and operations to support compliance, mitigate risk, and inform strategic decision-making.Uses Bellwether thinking approach to anticipate and advise on forward-looking trends that could create litigation and compliance risk and advise WesBanco Legal and the business on mitigation strategies.Provides high-quality legal advice and serve as a trusted strategic partner to a variety of internal teams in a manner that advances the WesBanco's business strategies while addressing legal risks and protecting WesBanco's integrity and reputation.Identifies and assesses legal risk, balance stakeholder interests, and translate complex issues into clear, actionable advice. This candidate will assist with reporting to the WesBanco Risk Management Department regarding Legal KRIs and emerging and current risks in the legal space.Provides legal guidance to Marketing and Content teams on customer-facing materials, ensuring compliance with advertising and marketing laws while reviewing promotional strategies and creative assets.Performs internal investigations and oversee external investigations, including the design and crafting of position statements in response to administrative charges of employment discrimination as well as other inquiries from governmental agencies and regulatory authorities.Partners with senior management and key stakeholders to understand business goals, translate legal risks to easy-to-understand concepts, and establish full alignment around legal processes and procedures that support growth.Reviews and reports on legal litigation spend, including identifying trends, cost
