Job Description

Job Title: General Superintendent Job Description We are seeking a dedicated General Superintendent to oversee the physical construction of projects, ensuring strict adherence to contract documents, building codes, and specific compliance requirements. Responsibilities + Supervise the physical construction of the project according to contract documents and building codes. + Collaborate with Project Managers to document and maintain standard reports for delays, work-arounds, shutdowns, and tie-ins. + Resolve personal disputes on the jobsite and lead and inspire the team. + Maintain satisfactory relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors, and work cohesively with Project Managers and field labor. + Ensure quality assurance/control for all MSS related scope and schedule. + Attend all inspections on assigned projects. + Manage, enforce, and provide feedback on the tool tracking program for assigned projects and personnel. + Forecast and manage varying levels of labor and equipment on projects. + Organize labor force to complete jobs efficiently and effectively on time and within budget. + Read complex blueprints and equipment installations and solve complex job-related problems or provide solutions to the Project Team and/or Field Ops Manager. + Serve as a liaison with client representatives. + Track project progress and report weekly to the Field Ops Manager and Project Managers. + Manage safety on assigned projects and assist the safety manager in maintaining a safe working environment. + Coordinate and communicate daily job operations with project managers. + Manage subcontractors, vendors, and labor, ensuring accuracy and quality of work activities. + Identify and report problems or deficiencies to the Project Manager and document on-site activities that may impede progress or compliance. + Interview and select field staff for the jobsite. + Attend all project meetings. + Conduct safety talks and maintain check-in sheets. + Perform performance reviews for employees on the project. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Essential Skills + Proficiency in managing site logistics and contract operations on urban sites. + Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project. + Knowledge of all construction phases, including work methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control. + Strong technical and communication skills. + Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent in construction. + Thorough understanding of maintaining project documents, blueprints, and specifications. + Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. + Experience with BIM coordinated projects. + Ability to work with a variety of tools. + Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. + Successful completion of a background check and drug test. + OSHA 30 certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree or completion of a technical training program preferred. + Healthcare experience with project values up to 30 million. + Physical capabilities including occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, and constant standing, walking, and reaching. + Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and constant lifting up to 25 lbs. Work Environment This role demands regular onsite presence and involves frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. The position requires navigating construction sites, reading blueprints, and using tools. A collaborative team environment emphasizes safety and quality assurance, with regular communication with project managers and field operations. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
