Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (CNC)Job Description As a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in CNC processes, you will play a critical role in optimizing and managing CNC machining processes. You will work with off-the-shelf equipment and develop custom fixtures and tooling solutions to enhance production efficiency and precision. Responsibilities + Optimize CNC machining processes for efficiency and precision. + Maintain and upgrade legacy machine programs to meet production needs. + Troubleshoot and refine machine code while implementing industry best practices. + Design new parts and components to meet evolving product requirements using SolidWorks for 3D modeling. + Perform CAD modifications and edits for design improvements or customization. + Create CAM models based on CAD designs and generate machine code. + Load programs and evaluate performance on CNC equipment. + Conduct ongoing maintenance and optimization of programs and tooling. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline. + 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership in process improvement. + Ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. + Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools. + Project management skills. + Expertise in tooling design, automation, and process validation for high-volume production. + Experience with control plans, PFMEA, and structured problem solving (5-Why, fishbone). + Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, industrial sensors, or basic ladder logic review. + Expert-level design-for-manufacturability/assembly (DFM/DFA). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Leadership of cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives and major capital projects. + Experience with composites and adhesives. + ERP/MES integration experience for routings, BOMs, serialization/traceability, and shop-floor data capture. + Advanced statistical and data tool knowledge, including DOE and reliability analysis. + Regulatory and quality fluency with ISO 9001/AS9100 systems, ITAR/EAR, and QCP alignment for configuration-controlled products. Work Environment This role is a first shift position (7am-4pm) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The facility has been recently remodeled, offering a clean workspace with a game room area. The work environment encourages self-starters with a superb work ethic and strong interpersonal skills. While processes may not be clearly defined, there is room for creativity and leadership in shaping them. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
