The position is responsible for both administrative and direct patient care services and serves as the clinical role model and clinical resource to a variety of roles to include: Clinic RNs, Licensed Practical Nurses, MA-C, etc.It's an exciting time to be a nurse at MultiCare. Together, we are creating an environment where nurses are owners in the clinical decision-making process, are well connected, have open communication with their colleagues, feel supported to develop professionally, and understand the future of nursing at MultiCare.ResponsibilitiesProvides clinical supervision of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, observing skill level and knowledge, and assisting in change as needed; imparts knowledge in a facilitative manner to improve patient care and assists with problem-solving as needed; Takes corrective action as neededSets clinical goals for areas assigned in collaboration with organizational nursing leadership and clinic leadershipUtilizes nursing process as a systematic problem-solving approach to nursing care, facilitating an optimal level of functioning and health for the patientTriages patients in person, via telephone and secure messages, utilizing protocols, guidelines, and standardsMakes decisions regarding patient care, utilizing critical thinking skills including knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and dataDelivers medical regimens as directed by physicians and APPs utilizing assessment and analysis skillsDelegates selected patient care functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competenceAdvocates for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgroundsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreementAdvance degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferredRegistered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)Current BLS CertificationAdvanced Life Support certification may be required after hire, depending on assigned clinic siteTwo years of RN experience required; preferably in a clinical settingCertification in relevant clinical specialty or nursing leadership preferredAbout Rockwood ClinicMultiCare Rockwood Clinic is one of the region's largest outpatient diagnostic and treatment centers, serving communities across eastern Washington, northern Idaho and western Montana.
