This is expected to be a long-term opportunity.u00a0 This position has the potential to transition to direct employment with the client partner in the future.u00a0Overview and Skills- This opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teamsu00a0within the Distributed Infrastructure Market Sector, supporting Substation (Grid) projects and building critical infrastructure for today's and tomorrow's challenges- Electrical professionals contribute to power systems design by drafting deliverables such as one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, front panel layouts, general arrangements, elevations, conduit/grounding plans and other details for substation projects- The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Associate Electrical Engineering Technician plays a key role in supporting the development of high quality engineering 2D/3D deliverables for these complex infrastructure projects- Under general supervision, this position performs technical tasks requiring general knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, with a focus on creating and modifying electrical design drawings using advanced techniques in industry standard design tools, such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and other CAD tools- 2 positions open one with (1-4 years exp) and one with (5-10 years exp)u00a0Job Summary- Supports engineering teams under general supervision- Performs technical tasks requiring intermediate knowledge of engineering principles and practices- Uses digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling)- Creates, updates, and maintains technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables- Begins providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering technicians- Key Responsibilities- Stay current on applicable standards, systems, document control practices, departmental guides, and company policies and procedures- Apply knowledge of the company Quality Program to ensure accurate, compliant deliverables- Demonstrate strong attention to detail while supporting continuous improvement and change management initiatives- Use and expand applications and tools to evaluate and improve methods, processes, and procedures- Create and develop project deliverables based on a variety of design inputs- Perform basic computations, including material quantity estimates and dimensional checks- Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize errors and interferences- Support internal client needs while developing an understanding of external client priorities and drivers- Proactively seek out, share, and apply knowledge of new technologies and evolving processesu00a0EducationDiploma or Certificate preferred.
