What you will do in this role: u00b7 The Cardiac Services Technician provides technical services, assists in the Hybrid Room and Operating Room while providing care for the adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. u00b7 The Cardiac Services Technician works collaboratively to complete all Cardiac Surgical Technologist assignments. u00b7 Works under the direct supervision of the assigned clinician for the case, and the Director, to facilitate safe invasive and non-invasive procedures. u00b7 Performs advanced tasks routinely in support of the surgical team. u00b7 Arranges sterile setup for surgical procedures, pass instruments, as well as, sponge and sutures to surgeons and surgical assistants. u00b7 Prepares sterile supplies, assist in cleanup of the operating room, checks placement and the operation of equipment, and checks and restocks the operating room after each procedure. What qualifications you will need: u00b7 2-3 years of experience in a surgery/CV/cardiac hospital setting. u00b7 Lead CST experience is highly preferred. u00b7 Formal training from an accredited Certified Surgical Technician Program. u00b7 Current Certified Surgical Tech Certification required. u00b7 American Red Cross or American Heart Association (BLS OR BCLS) Course Completion and Certification required.
