The Improvement System Coach II is responsible for the implementation of the Orlando Health Improvement System under the mentorship of the Director. The goal of the Orlando Health Improvement System is to achieve sustainable top decile performance inthe key performance indicators selected by the Board, by developing our team members and physicians to achieve their greatest potential in the pursuit of this goal.We’re seeking a process engineer/ improvement professional who is passionate about improving patient care through better systems and workflows. This role partners directly with clinical and operational leaders to improve quality, throughput, and customer experience. You’ll lead end‑to‑end improvement initiatives—from problem definition through implementation—using Lean methodologies and data analytics to improve hospital outcomes. Improves operational efficiencies and achieve measurable results by reducing variation and waste, improving process flow, andquality. Independently develops and implements transformation projects or initiatives for a range of healthcare and clinical program areas. Coaches team members in Lean principles and leadership skills. Leads discussions with all levels of team members and management to update stakeholders in project status, progress andbarriers utilizing project management skills and effective communication. Demonstrates effective project management skills and professional accountability. Models change agent behaviors including honesty, integrity, reliability, and persuasiveness. Demonstrates self-motivation with exceptional interpersonal communication and group leadership skills including conflictresolution. Comfortable and effective in presenting to team members in all levels of the organization including various audience sizes. Demonstrates professional behavior towards patients, team members, and leaders to promote an environment of team work andcollaboration. Demonstrates and maintains mastery of all aspects of performance improvement including Lean methodologies. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, stateand local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.Education/TrainingBachelor’s degree or higher in a professional healthcare discipline such as Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy,etc. or Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering.Licensure/CertificationNone.ExperienceThree (3) years’ experience leading improvement projects with demonstrable results. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitutefor up to two (2) years of the required experience.Internal transfers who have successfully completed training in the one-year Improvement System Associate role, combined with havingmet the requirements for entry into that role, may be promoted to the Improvement System Coach II with approval of the Director,Orlando Health Improvement System.
