Job Description

The Lead Caregiver Resident Assistant meets community residents’ needs by helping with activities of daily living and coordinating services to residents. Supervise and direct resident assistants. Responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being, administers resident medication or assist residents with self-administration of medication and coordinate treatments to residents. Provide assistance with activities of daily living.Location: Balfour Littleton | 8160 W Coal Mine Ave, Littleton, CO 80123Department: Assisted Living & Memory CareShift: Full-Time | 7 AM to 7 PMCompensation: $23-$28/hour (DOE)What will I do every day?Observe and monitor residents for any changes in condition and report to Care ServicesDirector, RCC, MCC or appropriate physicianLearn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer services, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfactionEffectively supervise departmental operations on a day-to-day basis under the guidance of the Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) or Dementia Care Coordinator (DCC)Supervise resident assistants and Qmap's.Interacts with families and other visitorsInteracts with peers and supervisors about resident concernsAssist or provide supervision for residents performing activities of daily living (i.e. shaving, oral hygiene, bathing, nail care, dressing, etc.)Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find appropriate associate to assistPerform the following tasks: vital signs, weight, diabetic testing and/or insulin injections (if state allowed), medication assistance, ambulation, and activitiesSupport, lead and participate in resident-centered wellness programsWork toward maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, and personal safetyAssist resident assistants as needed and whenever primary supervisory tasks are completedAssist with resident assistants’ scheduling and assignmentsTrack supplies that are needed and communicate to Care Services Director, RCC or DCCWork as part of the team within your department and across the communityPresent required new hire training and ongoing skills training for associates and maintain appropriate documentationProvide daily associate recognition and appreciationSupport open and honest communication with and between all associatesLook for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basisEnsure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediatelySupport continuous improvementPerform other related duties as requiredWhat will I need to be successful in this role?Bring a smile to work every dayBe a great team playerHigh school education preferredNursing assistant course (State-approved, if required)Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?
