In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.University Radiology is searching for a Full-Time Senior Accountant I to join our team at our Business Office in East Brunswick, NJ. The Senior Accountant I reports to the Accounting Manager and is expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities. This role has the potential for growth within the department.Candidates must be available to train on-site at our East Brunswick Business office. This position has the potential to become hybrid after training has been completed and at the Manager’s discretion.Essential Functions:Responsible for accounting for assigned companies, including but not limited to:Prepare monthly financial statementsPrepare monthly internal variance analysis of financial resultsReview monthly bank reconciliationsPrepare and post bank adjustments and transfersPrepare monthly close journal entriesReview accounts payable transactionsReview and reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare work papersReview, code and approve invoicesProvide accounting support, including but not limited to:Maintain and update master office space lease scheduleReview monthly financial statement summary reportReview inter-company transactions and review, code and approve monthly inter-companyinvoicesPrepare bank covenant calculationsAssist in providing information for budget preparationTax and AuditPrepare tax and audit work papersAssist in auditsAdditional Responsibilities:Back up support for accounting department functionsAd Hoc reports and other duties as assignedBA/BS degree in Accounting ; Graduate degree/CPA a plusFive plus years progressive Accounting experienceComputer literate in financial application softwareAdvanced skills in MS Excel requiredStrong knowledge of basic accounting practices including cash and accrual basis accountingBasic knowledge of healthcare and joint venture accounting a plusUniversity Radiology offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental and life insurance, 401k/pension, and profit-sharing plans, generous paid time off policy and more.
