Seeking a motivated PHOTOGRAMMETRIST to support product evaluations, quality studies, and new product initializations.The specific tasks and activities to be performed include, but are not limited to:Sensor modeling; decomposing product formation elements to quantify the overall quality of the image chainGeolocation and mensuration accuracy assessmentsModeling geometric collection process to trace the exact location of a point on the ground to the pixel location on an imageSupport engineering analysis activities, including assessment projects related to the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG)Performing baseline assessment of system performance to support sensor initializationOperational monitoring of system performance over timeResponding to detected errors by recommending possible causes and corrective actionsPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Required Experience/Education:Must have a minimum of a Top Secret clearance and willing to upgrade clearance to TS/SCI and sit for and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- Contract requires TS/SCI with poly.Bachelor’s degree in Photogrammetry, Image Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related engineering disciplinesExperience with various exploitation software such as ARC-GIS, SOCET GXP, QT Modeler,Active Earthscape, ERDAS Imagine, or Remote View10+ years of experience working with imagery and imagery platformsGeolocation and mensuration assessment experienceApplied knowledge of sensor imaging systems, products, and exploitation processesBasic understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle to include independent testing and data verificationStrong written and oral communication skills, with emphasis on briefing to obtain decisions and solve technical issues and test plans/reports writingAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamWillingness to learn, solve problems and perform in a dynamic work environmentTrack record of delivering resultsPreferred Skillset:Understanding and application of basic image quality standards, scales, and metricsExperience with image products and services such as the Digital Point Positioning Database (DPPDB), Controlled Image Base (CIB), or Orthorectified Commercial Imagery (CI-Ortho)Image processing and Digital Signal processing experienceKnowledge of NSG tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) image chainExperience with Mensuration Services Program (MSP)ASPRS membership or professional certificateExperience working in a DoD or IC operational, technical, or research environmentExperience developing engineering code (C, Python, Matlab, IDL) to solve hard problems and create processes for repeatable results.Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
