OurImagingdepartment hastheir own transporters and patient lift equipment to help move patients for imaging exams.We have8, 10 and 12hourshiftsas well as weekendoptionpay.Our department includes X-ray Techs, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Ultrasound Techs, Mammography Techs, Interventional Radiology Techs, OR X-ray Techs, Unit Secretaries, Transporters, RN’s, PA’s, and Radiologist.We are a259-bedhospital, a level III trauma center, a level III neonatal intensive careunitand stroke certified. OurEmergencyroom sees about100,000 patientsa year.Our Imaging department consist of the following:X-ray 3 Routine Rooms & 2FluoroRooms (86,000 exams per year)CT 4 CTSiemensrooms (72,000 exams per year)MRI` 2 MRI units (1.5T Siemens & 3T GE) (10,000 exams per year)Ultrasound 3SiemensRooms (21,000 exams per year)Breast Health Center 4HologicDiag/Screening Rooms & 1 DEXA (23,000 per year)IR 1GERoom (2,500examsper year)Outpatient DiagnosticCenter CT,MRI, Mammography & X-ray(11,000 exams per year)Surgery (OR) 5 GE OEC C-ArmsCSU Pre and Post unit for patients receiving moderate sedationOperates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.EducationGraduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required Work Experience2 years of experience Required Licenses and Certifications ARDMS registered in at least 2 specialties Upon Hire Required andBCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) Preferred orRVT - Registered Vascular Technologist RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) Preferred Piedmont Henry Hospital
