Senior Account Manager, Target (JLB Division)The Team:The JLB Sales team operates as an extension of our client’s teams, driving successful business partnerships, strategies and executions between Target and our clients. Our approach to Account Managementis a collaboration between the key people to build strongpartnershipsand bring actionable recommendations that lead to growth.The Role:We are seeking a talented individual to join our organization as part of our Sales Team. As a Senior Account Manager, you are responsible for developing and executing best-in-class services to meet and exceed our client partners growth and profitability goals.What You’ll Do:Build strongrelationships with both our clients’ team and Target’s merchandising teamsBe an advocate on behalf of your clients, helping them solve problems and understand the needs of Target, and be successful in their businessSupport Sales Leads & Directors to convert new business and deliver flawless execution of promotions and in-line businessConduct Deep Dive into Sales Performance and provide insights and recommendations to drive the businessConduct on-going analysis of your client’s omni-channel assortment performance, and identify issues and root-causes, ultimately solving vendor performance issues or problemsOversee and managemarketing with our clients and Target’s Roundel team. Measure and report on KPIs.Oversee Demand Planning/Forecasting, including the overall forecasting and chase/cancel process.Assist total Sales Teamin executing operational management of business management, meeting preparation (including line reviews and “top-to-tops”)Submit, forecast, track and report on incremental business opportunities (new items, endcaps, circulars, TPCs, and markdowns)Demonstrate an ability tocollaborate effectively across multiple divisions at JLB to meet business needsBeing curious by asking and identify opportunities to simplify processes and drive efficiencies and work cross-functionally to implement guidance and training to improve themStrong understanding of private label/owned brand sourcing and development and working with clients in multiple time zonesWhat You’ll Bring:5+ years of Account Management Experience5+ years of item level forecasting ExperienceProficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, understanding in SQL principles3+ years of previous experience working with Target’s corporate officesSelf-starterCustomer service orientedwith strong communication skillsAbility to communicate through story-tellingProblem solving and navigating ambiguous situationsAbout JLB:jlb is an award-winning, retail consulting firm that is passionate about helping brands succeed at Target, and Target win in the marketplace. Increase distribution, grow sales dollars/units/share/other KPI’s, while staying on spendResponsible for ensuring retail/merchandising execution and basic eCommerce executionAchieve P&L targets; manage business for each client(s) assignedImplement marketing strategies and analyze trends and results to achieve department/client income and expense budget goalsMonitor and drive revenue growth through efficient management of promotional spending within guidelines on assigned lines; identify opportunities and align business unit resources to secure those opportunitiesMeet and/or exceed Client’s goals for sales, distribution, pricing, shelving and promotional volumeIdentify and provide standard available services to support the “Customer as Clients”Launch strategies to pursue new opportunitiesManage and maximize manufacturer marketing/promotional funds to achieve sales goals while staying within financial guidelinesSecures Client approved schematics for all Clients’ brands by providing directions and communication to our schematic, reset and retail departmentsImplement customer headquarter calls and penetrate key positions at retailerOrganize business unit team to retain and expand upon all client relationshipsAssist team to navigate in the larger ASM organization to align needed resources and support to ensure specific client and/or customer initiative successFacilitate communication, opportunities, challenges, and workflow to other team members and attend all Client meetings and reviewsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect Reports- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reportsIndirect Reports- Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reportsEducation Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceField of Study/Area of Experience: Business8+ years of experience in applicable fieldSkills, Knowledge and Abilities• Strong sales presentation and development skills• Strong interpersonal skills • Strong written communication and verbal communication skills• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment• Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships• Working knowledge of syndicated data• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsersTravel is an essential duty and function of this job up to 20%Environmental & Physical RequirementsOffice / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
