On-Call Unarmed Security Guard

Tactica Solutions LLC seeks Part-Time/On-Call Unarmed Security Guards to provide essential relief coverage in support of U.S. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans. This position supports full-time personnel by covering shifts during absences, leave, and other staffing needs to ensure uninterrupted security operations. Candidates must reside within the New Orleans metropolitan area to support short-notice scheduling requirements.On-call/as-needed basis. Shifts are typically Monday through Friday, 0630 to 1500; however, hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on operational needs.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesControl entry and exit of personnel and vehiclesVerify credentials and maintain access logsEnforce established security protocolsConduct visual inspections for prohibited items and suspicious activityProcess visitor credentials and issue temporary passesProvide directions and maintain visitor logsMonitor assigned areas for threats and safety hazardsRespond to emergencies in accordance with established proceduresPrepare incident reports and maintain professional communicationSupport law enforcement personnel as neededPerform routine duties including patrols, equipment checks, shift briefings, escort duties, and coordination with U.S. Coast Guard personnelPerform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDValid State of Louisiana Security Guard LicenseValid Louisiana driver’s licenseFirst Aid/CPR certification preferredMinimum one (1) year of security guard experience (federal experience preferred) Must pass U.S. Coast Guard background checkStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to stand for extended periods (up to 8.5 hours per shift)Ability to work in various weather conditionsPreferred QualificationsFirst Aid/CPR certificationTraining RequirementsMinimum 78 hours of initial training (customer service, defensive tactics, inspections, emergency response, etc.)Semiannual Use of Force refresher trainingAnnual refresher training (minimum 8 hours)Uniforms and equipment providedJob Location: New Orleans, LAPhysical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
