Sourcing and Purchasing Analyst

Description We are looking for a dedicated Sourcing and Purchasing Analyst to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in analyzing procurement processes, optimizing costs, and maintaining accurate documentation to support organizational goals. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with global teams and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives. Responsibilities: u2022 Evaluate bills of materials to track part changes, monitor costs, and ensure data accuracy, while developing actionable plans for the sourcing team. u2022 Organize and maintain process documentation, supplier details, and team assignments in a structured and accessible manner. u2022 Conduct audits on critical documentation and propose actionable improvements to enhance efficiency. u2022 Analyze procurement activities to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved inventory management. u2022 Prepare and implement engineering change orders to align sourcing and purchasing processes with organizational requirements. u2022 Collaborate closely with Global Sourcing Managers and Material Planning teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals. u2022 Monitor market conditions and supply chain trends to identify challenges and opportunities for sourcing categories. u2022 Provide insights into technology advancements and supply-demand dynamics to support informed decision-making. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in purchasing functions, including creating and managing purchase orders. u2022 Strong understanding of merchant services and procurement activities. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for analyzing data and generating reports. u2022 Ability to audit and improve documentation processes. u2022 Excellent organizational skills to manage supplier information and team assignments. u2022 Strong analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize inventory. u2022 Effective communication skills for collaborating across global teams.
