Senior CAD Technician

Job Title: Senior CAD TechnicianJob Description An international multidisciplinary firm is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join their team in either OAK or Walnut Creek. The role involves drafting and designing in AutoCAD to support coastline, harbors, and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of experience in AutoCAD drafting for civil engineering projects. While a Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred, candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is necessary. Responsibilities + Transform initial rough designs, sketches, and redlines into finished graphics and construction documents. + Assist the CAD Manager with designs for site development and transportation projects. + Draft detailed drawings of cargo/port/bulk terminals, breakwaters, marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls, piers, bridges, sound walls, ferry terminals, hydraulic structures, and shoreline constructions such as beaches, revetments, dikes, and jetties. + Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established CAD standards. + Conduct 2D and 3D CAD modeling. Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. + At least 7 years of related experience in drafting for civil engineering. + Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel. + Understanding and application of CAD standards. + Good numeracy, geometry, and computer skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. + Experience with Microstation is preferred. + Knowledge of material properties and construction methods. + Experience with ArcGIS and Navisworks is beneficial but not required.
