Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Tonawanda, New York. In this Contract to permanent role, you will manage commercial accounts and work closely with clients to ensure timely and efficient collections. This position requires a strong ability to build relationships, analyze account information, and contribute to the overall success of the department. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage a portfolio of 400-550 commercial accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution. u2022 Communicate directly with clients through written and verbal updates regarding account status. u2022 Conduct skip tracing to locate individuals and resolve outstanding claims. u2022 Collaborate with legal counsel on cases requiring further action. u2022 Participate in monthly departmental meetings and occasionally present updates. u2022 Contribute to team projects, contests, and office initiatives as needed. u2022 Engage in continuous skill development through training programs, seminars, and online courses. u2022 Foster positive working relationships within the team and department. u2022 Lead by example in work ethic and meeting performance standards. u2022 Assist in reviewing and improving departmental processes alongside management for enhanced efficiency. Requirements u2022 Previous experience in business-to-business (B2B) collections or related field. u2022 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction. u2022 Proficiency in skip tracing methods and tools. u2022 Ability to manage a high volume of accounts while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Familiarity with legal processes related to collections is a plus. u2022 Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. u2022 Commitment to ongoing learning and attention to detail. u2022 Organized and self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
