As a CAD Drafter, youu2019ll turn ideas into buildable systems by creating fabrication-ready drawings and detailed 3D models for M2Xu2019s modular gas-to-liquid and biogas systems. Working across mechanical and electrical disciplines, youu2019ll generate clear, accurate documentation that guides fabrication, assembly, and field service. Additional Skills & Qualifications You Will u25cf Design & Draft: Generate 2D and 3D fabrication drawings for piping, frames, weldments, and assemblies in Inventor and AutoCAD. u25cf Support Manufacturing: Collaborate with welders, assemblers, and QA teams to ensure drawings are accurate, practical, and serviceable. u25cf Manage Data: Maintain revision control, metadata, and BOM accuracy using Vault. u25cf Integrate Systems: Draft control panel layouts, conduit routing, and enclosure designs that align with electrical and controls requirements. u25cf Document Clearly: Develop exploded views, subassembly documentation, and assembly instructions that streamline builds. u25cf Collaborate Across Teams: Interpret P&IDs, schematics, and layouts to deliver coherent mechanical/electrical drawing packages. What You Bring u25cf A foundation in Mechanical Design, Drafting Technology, or a related field (associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent) and 3+ years of experience with Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault in fabrication or equipment design. u25cf Experience with ASME piping, structural frames, and mechanical assemblies. u25cf Familiarity with electrical/control panel layouts, conduit routing, and enclosure design. u25cf Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and wire diagrams. u25cf Proficiency in welding symbols, GD&T, and best drafting practices. u25cf Strong communication skills and comfort working with shop personnel and cross-functional engineering teams. Bonus Points u25cf Experience supporting UL 508A panel builds or related electrical standards. u25cf Familiarity with NEMA enclosures, HMI panels, or hazardous area ratings (e.g., Class I Div 2). u25cf Knowledge of wiring best practices, including bend radius, thermal spacing, and labeling standards. u25cf Prior exposure to plant skids, electromechanical assemblies, or packaged process systems.
