Job Title: Engineering Cell Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Cell Technician to support the assembly, testing, and quality control of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems. This role is hands-on and production-focused, contributing to early-stage manufacturing and scale-up efforts of advanced energy products. The ideal candidate possesses experience in manufacturing, electrochemical systems, or precision assembly and thrives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Responsibilities + Assemble fuel cell components and sub-assemblies according to engineering documentation, work instructions, and quality standards. + Perform cell fabrication processes such as coating, stacking, loading, sealing, and alignment. + Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and test stations. + Conduct functional testing, inspection, and data collection for fuel cells and related components. + Record production and test data accurately in manufacturing execution systems (MES) or batch travelers. + Identify process issues, defects, and equipment malfunctions; assist with root-cause analysis. + Support continuous improvement, yield improvement, and process optimization initiatives. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with EHS standards. + Collaborate with engineers, quality, and operations teams to support production goals. Essential Skills + Proficiency in testing and quality control within manufacturing environments. + Experience using calipers, multimeters, and gauges. + Familiarity with working with fuel cells, batteries, ceramics, or high-temperature systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's degree in a technical field. + 2+ years of working experience in manufacturing, electronics, systems, or lab production environments. + Familiarity with cleanroom, lab, or pilot production environments. + Experience with process scale-up or early manufacturing operations. + Basic understanding of quality systems (ISO, SPC, root-cause analysis). Work Environment The position is based in a manufacturing and laboratory production setting with exposure to industrial equipment and high-temperature testing environments. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required as needed, and the role may require occasional overtime during production ramps. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
