Job Summary and Qualifications + Demonstrate the ability to obtain quality MRI images of patients. + Complies with MRI safety guidelines for patients, staff and self. + Operates MRI equipment safety including screening all patients for contraindications. + Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations. + Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner and always identifies patients utilizing the proper protocols. + Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests. + Assist the radiology nurse or radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient during MRI procedures. + Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images. + Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties. + Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner. + Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients. + Completes and maintains educational requirements. What qualifications you will need: EXPERIENCE: + Required: Minimum of 1 year experience as MRI Technologist. + Preferred: Multiple yearsu2019 experience as a certified staff MRI Technologist EDUCATION: + Required: Graduate of accredited approved School of Radiologic Technology. Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
