Job Title: Kubernetes Engineer Job Description This position offers the chance to advance cutting-edge technology supporting national security missions. You will be involved in developing solutions for submarine combat system infrastructure as part of a Platform as a Service (PaaS) Architect role, collaborating with esteemed customers and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities + Work on Platform as a Service (PaaS) for submarine combat system infrastructure. + Create innovative product solutions that meet customer requirements and company objectives. + Collaborate with hardware, software, and cybersecurity experts. + Communicate software solutions and designs to medium and large teams of engineers. + Manage infrastructure ecosystem PaaS, including troubleshooting and SWFTS integration. + Evolve system design with a focus on Non Functional Requirements, resource allocation, and holistic approaches. + Resolve complex issues and conduct research spikes. + Develop and manage PaaS product vision and agile team. + Support DevOps and CI/CD processes. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s degree in Software Engineering, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or Master's degree plus job-related experience. + 2+ years of job-related experience with Kubernetes, including building and deploying systems. + Experience with Agile or SCRUM methodologies. + Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required. + U.S. citizenship is required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Kubernetes. + Familiarity with tools such as Ansible, Python. + Experience creating and implementing CI/CD pipelines. + Excellent communication skills and effective presentation abilities. + Strong knowledge of technology trends and ability to champion new ideas. + Ability to handle complex assignments and challenging problems. + Creative thinking and multitasking abilities. + Experience with development for Real Time Operating Systems. Work Environment This position is based on-site in Manassas with the option to work a 9/80 schedule. Core working hours are 10-3, allowing flexibility to avoid traffic by arriving early or leaving late. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manassas, VA.
