Job Title: Construction ManagerJob Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team in Mecklenburg. The ideal candidate will plan, direct, or coordinate activities across various fields including engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product roll-out. Responsibilities + Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to achieve goals and directing the integration of technical activities. + Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients. + Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. + Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. + Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures. + Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates. Essential Skills + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. + Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and cost management. + Familiarity with business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. + Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. + PMI or PMP certification preferred. + 10+ years of experience in data centers, construction management, and related fields. + Experience with Nexus and Bluebeam is advantageous. Work Environment This position is based 100% onsite in Mecklenburg and requires a standard workweek of 40 hours with an additional 10 hours of overtime as needed. Required equipment includes a laptop, monitor, headset, keyboard, and mouse. The use of Revit or Bluebeam on the laptop is not mandatory. Candidates must have a local experience as relocation assistance is not provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Clarksville, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
