Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a Sussex, Wisconsin area organization. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining financial records, and supporting our overall accounting operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process invoices efficiently, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. u2022 Perform coding of invoices and verify account allocations to maintain proper financial records. u2022 Handle check runs and prepare payments in a timely and organized manner. u2022 Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies promptly. u2022 Manage invoice approvals by coordinating with internal departments. u2022 Maintain detailed documentation for all accounts payable activities. u2022 Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable. u2022 Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes. u2022 Respond to inquiries from vendors and resolve payment issues effectively. u2022 Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company guidelines in all tasks. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or similar accounting role. u2022 Proficiency in invoice coding and processing. u2022 Familiarity with check runs and payment preparation. u2022 Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. u2022 Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
