Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to process, test, and optimize manufacturing and extrusion processes for both new and existing products. The goal is to reduce operating costs, minimize labor, decrease product variability, and increase yields. Responsibilities + Assist in the design, development, assembly, debugging, and optimization of manufacturing equipment, extrusion tooling, and secondary equipment. + Develop machine specifications, identify and evaluate suppliers, and procure, install, and debug equipment from outside suppliers for general manufacturing, extrusion equipment, and secondary processes. + Plan, coordinate, develop, and execute test protocols, experiments, process characterization, and process validations on new and revised products and processes. + Coordinate efforts to design, develop, and validate manufacturing processes using tools such as Design Of Experiments (DOE), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and capability analysis. + Stay current with and ensure adherence to appropriate QA/RA SOPs on all projects, including equipment and product development processes, process controls, process validations, and the ECO system. + Provide support for GMP, safety, ISO, and internal audits. Essential Skills + Proficiency in process engineering, injection molding, and plastic injection molding. + Experience in continuous improvement and manufacturing processes. + Ability to design tooling and fixtures. + Strong troubleshooting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Polymer, Plastics Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines. + 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with proven technical and relationship skills. + Strong initiative and ability to take action on opportunities. Work Environment This position requires a dynamic work environment, with 60% of the time spent in the office and 40% on the floor working with technicians, quality, and maintenance teams. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $52.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
