Job Title: Assistant Construction PM Job Description The Assistant PM will support the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily jobsite operations for a large-scale school renovation project. The role will focus heavily on document control, coordination, and field support, serving as a key liaison between the field and project management teams. The project is slated to complete in September, but hours in the summer will be stable. Responsibilities + Manage and track RFIs and submittals. + Maintain organized project documentation and logs. + Assist with trade coordination and day-to-day subcontractor support. + Support the Superintendent with inspections, reports, and quality documentation. + Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, and turnover preparation. + Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent on daily project needs. Essential Skills + Minimum of 1 year experience as a project engineer or assistant project manager. + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field. + Proficiency in construction document control, including RFIs, submittals, logs, and drawings. + Experience in supporting Project Managers and Superintendents on active jobsites. + Ability to provide trade coordination support and interact with subcontractors. + Capability to work onsite in a fast-paced renovation environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/hr.
