Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Marlborough, Massachusetts. This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled accounting expert with experience in real estate or property management. The ideal candidate will excel in financial reporting, compliance, and budgeting, while bringing advanced technical expertise to support portfolio management. For Immediate Interview please contact Victor Muller at 508 205 2136 Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements. u2022 Manage month-end closing activities, including complex journal entries, accruals, and comprehensive bank reconciliations. u2022 Calculate and reconcile Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges, taxes, and insurance recoveries for commercial tenants. u2022 Support the development of annual property budgets and quarterly financial forecasts. u2022 Analyze tenant leases to assess impacts on rent rolls, revenue recognition, and straight-line rent schedules. u2022 Oversee cash flow management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts to ensure financial stability. u2022 Collaborate with internal and external auditors by preparing audit schedules and providing necessary documentation. u2022 Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, maintaining accuracy in all financial processes and reports. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. u2022 Minimum of 3u20135 years of experience in real estate or property accounting. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including tools like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. u2022 Expertise in property management software such as Yardi or similar platforms. u2022 Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accrual accounting practices. u2022 Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. u2022 Proven ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Prior experience with commercial or residential portfolio accounting is preferred.
