Fitter Fabricator (Full-Time) Pay: $25-$32 (DOE) Location: Salem, OR Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (30-minute lunch) Overview We are seeking an experienced Fitter Fabricator to join our team in a fast-paced industrial shop environment. In this role, you’ll be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling large-scale metal equipment while maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality standards. What You’ll Do Fit and fabricate large grinding, sizing, and material handling equipment Align, position, and assemble metal components to spec Perform hard wire and flux core welding Maintain tight tolerances without fixtures Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and jib cranes Move and rig heavy materials efficiently Collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership to solve design challenges Inspect finished assemblies for quality and accuracy Maintain a clean and safe work environment What You Bring 3-5 years of fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Strong blueprint reading and layout skills Experience with welding processes and selecting proper materials/settings Ability to hold tight tolerances and inspect your own work Experience operating forklifts and cranes (rigging knowledge required) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Basic math skills (including fractions) Basic computer skills for time tracking Must have your own basic tools Preferred (not required): Hydraulic systems experience (building, mounting, troubleshooting) Low voltage electrical wiring and testing experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Comfortable working in high temperatures and industrial conditions Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and work in awkward positions for extended periods Must be able to wear required PPE (gloves, goggles, ear protection, etc.) Work Environment
