Stationary Engineer -3rd shift

Stationary Engineer Greenfield, Indiana 3rd shift, 7 days on 7 days off Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator/Utilities Technician youu2019ll safely and efficiently operate powerhouse equipment to ensure reliable utility supplies to campus buildings. Duties include but not limited to; Job Responsibilities: u00b7 Performs and helps facilitate completion of preventative/corrective maintenance for all power plant equipment. u00b7 Coordinate all utility operations while on shift u00b7 Operate, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain all systems related equipment such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, pumps, and deionized water production trains. u00b7 Utilize the Utility Monitoring System to monitor, control, and trend performance of plant equipment. u00b7 Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders. u00b7 Provide back-up assistance for Wastewater Treatment Plant operations. u00b7 Perform water chemistry laboratory analysis on plant systems and maintain chemical parameters. u00b7 Investigate and assist with abnormal facility conditions as needed after-hours. u00b7 Follows all SOPs and maintains a safe working environment. u00b7 Interact professionally with facility staff as well as customers. u00b7 Assist Utilities Supervisor. u00b7 May work with potentially hazardous substances. u00b7 Climbing ladders and working in confined spaces may be necessary. u00b7 Exposure to greases, oil, solvents, additives, and live steam may be expected. u00b7 Assist Utilities Supervisor. u00b7 May work with potentially hazardous substances. u00b7 Climbing ladders and working in confined spaces may be necessary. u00b7 Exposure to greases, oil, solvents, additives, and live steam may be expected. u00b7 Relocation assistance is available. Minimum Qualifications: u00b7 High School Diploma or GED equivalent, trade school or college preferred but not required. u00b7 3+ years of experience in power plant, chilled water plant, or utility operations experience Preferred Qualifications u00b7 Boiler Operator certification preferred but not required. u00b7 1+ years of experince operating chillers preferred but not required. u00b7 HVAC/chiller experience helpful but not required. u00b7 1+ years of monitoring, testing and adjusting chemical input for boiler water feed preferred.
