GENERAL PURPOSE: This role will support the Finance Manager in Transportation Finance and serve as a key partner to Operations and Finance leadership. Responsibilities include developing advanced financial models, supporting long term planning and cost optimization initiatives, preparing strategic insights and recommendations, and leading complex analysis to guide decision making across the transportation network. The individual will leverage strong analytical skills, business acumen, and effective storytelling to influence outcomes and support both day to day and forward looking financial priorities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Lead complex financial analyses and long range strategic planning, serving as a subject matter expert on transportation cost drivers and planning assumptions. u2022 Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Transportation, Supply Chain, and Planning to drive alignment and influence strategic decisions. u2022 Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, datasets, and models that improve visibility into KPIs, cost trends, and operational performance. u2022 Evaluate cost saving opportunities and model network, vendor, and operational scenarios to provide data driven recommendations to leadership. u2022 Drive process improvements, strengthen forecasting and automation, and mentor analysts on modeling best practices and data integrity. u2022 Create and deliver clear, compelling presentations that translate financial insights, trends, and recommendations for senior leadership. COMPETENCIES: u2022 Adaptability u2022 Functional / Technical Skills u2022 Analysis and Judgment u2022 Time Management u2022 Communication u2022 Collaboration u2022 Business Acumen u2022 Integrity and Trust QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: u2022 4-6 years of progressive experience in financial analysis; transportation, logistics, or supply chain finance strongly preferred. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (CPA, CMA) preferred. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with BI/reporting tools a plus. u2022 Knowledge of accounting theory and strong mathematical skills. u2022 Ability to adapt and effectively deal with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines and rapidly changing priorities. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail with a strong track record of accuracy and accountability. u2022 Strong communication and executive-level presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners. u2022 High degree of business curiosity, ownership, and initiative. u2022 Proven ability to independently lead complex analytical projects from design through execution. u2022 Clear and concise oral and written communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance in office (Hybrid work schedule) Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; travel or other inconveniences have advance notice; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
