Plant Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to join our manufacturing team in Eastern Iowa. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations, manage accounting processes, and provide strategic insights to support the companyu2019s goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team while driving financial accuracy and efficiency in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, budgets, cost analyses, and variance reports. u2022 Monitor and manage capital project expenditures and maintenance budgets. u2022 Develop and present financial dashboards and reports to senior management. u2022 Conduct annual budget planning and perform monthly budget reviews. u2022 Supervise invoice processing and ensure timely payments. u2022 Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives and contribute to special projects. u2022 Review intercompany transactions for accuracy and compliance. u2022 Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts and process journal entries. u2022 Maintain and update standard costing systems to ensure precise cost tracking. u2022 Oversee inventory management, including reconciliation and analysis of costs Requirements u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. u2022 Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least some experience in the manufacturing industry. u2022 Proficiency in standard cost accounting practices. u2022 Strong expertise in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation. u2022 Ability to analyze financial statements and provide actionable insights. u2022 Experience in budgeting and forecasting. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage a team.
