Our client, a global leader in industrial automation and electrification solutions, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting product design and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and teamwork, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (1-year contract) Location: Bloomfield, CT Pay Range: $70/hr Whatu2019s the Job? + Design, develop, analyze, and document mechanical product designs meeting functional, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements. + Execute designs using PTC Creo and Windchill to create 3D models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and BOMs. + Lead and support new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure smooth transition from design to production. + Support engineering change orders (ECNs/ICNs) for effective production implementation. + Conduct technical reviews, problem-solving sessions, and risk management analyses for assigned projects. Whatu2019s Needed? + Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design. + Proficiency in PTC Creo (or equivalent) and Windchill PLM systems. + Experience with sheet metal design for enclosures or busbar systems. + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. + Team-oriented mindset, proactive, and self-motivated to work with minimal supervision.
