Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description Join a dedicated team in Bloomfield, CT, as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing engineering programs that align with business standards and product requirements. Responsibilities + Design, develop, analyze, and document product designs that fulfill functional, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements. + Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all design work, including tolerance loops, drawings, bills of materials, and risk management analyses. + Utilize solid modeling software such as PTC Creo and Windchill to execute designs and create models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and BOMs. + Lead and support new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring a seamless transition from design to production. + Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned tasks, adhering to engineering policies and procedures. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and technical design. + Proficiency in mechanical design, including 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation in PTC Creo or similar CAD tools. + Experience with Sheet Metal design for enclosures or busbar systems using PTC Creo and Windchill PLM systems. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze technical issues and implement effective solutions. + Self-motivated and proactive, capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks with minimal supervision. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in systems analysis and understanding of bill of material processes. + Thrives in a team-first culture with a focus on knowledge-sharing and collective problem-solving. Work Environment This is a hybrid work environment, requiring onsite presence for the first 1-2 months with the option for 1-2 days of remote work per week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomfield, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
