Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will help design and develop rocket engines and propulsion systems that meet Blue Origin's launch vehicle program requirements for various spaceflight systems. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.Responsibilities:Develop mechanical enclosures for avionics productsCreate, run and evaluate structural, thermal and vibration analysis on avionics enclosuresParticipate in the entire design cycle ofsafety, flight and mission critical avionics enclosures including conceptual design, structural layout and analysis, electrical layout and design support, mounting, and structural testLiaison between structural analysis and avionics design teamsLead design team in implementation of analysis best practicesSupport electronics development and trade studiesCreate interface definition, specification, and control documentsValidate requirements through design, test, analysis, or inspectionPlan and conduct tests, review and interpret dataProvide technical guidance for hardware installationMinimum Qualifications:Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering5+ years ofexperience with the structural analysisExperience with FEA tools (ANSYS preferred)Excellent understanding of structural analysis/mechanicsWorking knowledge of 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E preferred)Experience with GD&T implementation and analysis (ASME Y14.5)Ability to work effectively in teamsAbility to be self-directed and balance several tasks at one timeAbility to communicate analysis results effectivelyExperience withruggedized electronics enclosuresor similar high performance hardwarePreferred Qualifications:Experience with tools such as; Creo, Windchill, ANSYSExperience with fatigue analysis and fracture mechanicsFamiliarity with aerospace industry standard structural analysis methodsCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $130,706.00 - $182,987.70Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
