Description Weu2019re looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our client's team. You will dive into all things related to unclaimed payroll property, connect with employees about outstanding checks, manage repayment lists, and make sure everything is treated correctly for tax purposes. Youu2019ll also pitch in on special projects, handle manual payments. What Youu2019ll Be Doing: + Keeping track of uncashed checks and returned wages, making sure the list is always current + Handling garnishment refunds and processing any re-issued funds + Reaching out to employees to update their info and follow up on money owed to them + Tracking employee overpayments and advances, planning repayments, and making sure everythingu2019s tax compliant + Creating and updating standard operating procedures so the teamu2019s always on the same page + Answering payroll hotline calls and helping employees with their questions or issues + Reviewing system updates and testing new releases + Providing backup for issuing out-of-cycle manual checks when needed + Continuously looking for ways to improve payroll processes, bringing new ideas and recommending smart tech solutions + Giving top-notch customer service, including timely follow-ups and clear answers on payroll, tax, and regulatory matters + Keeping payroll data confidential and secure + Jumping in on other duties or special projects as assigned What Youu2019ll Bring: + At least 5 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience + Multi-state payroll know-how, including California + Experience managing high-volume payroll (10,000+ employees) + Solid time management and strong teamwork and communication skills + Attention to detail and the ability to wrap your head around the specifics of unclaimed property requirements + Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once and picking up new payroll processing components quickly + Patient, customer-focused communicationu2014both written and spokenu2014with all types of employees + Great organizational and interpersonal skills + Analytical thinking and the ability to work independently, taking initiative as needed + Advanced Excel skills + At least 2 years working in an office environment Ready to join a high-energy team?
