Weu2019re looking for a Landscape Development Intern to join our team. Our internship program will prepare you for leadership positions both on and off the jobsite. This program provides exposure across operational divisions, giving you hands-on experience in landscape construction, project engineering and field management. Interns gain experience both in the field and in the office, supporting estimating, preconstruction and project coordination efforts while learning about multiple career paths within our organization. The rotational will include but not be limited to the following: u2022 Landscape & Safety u2013 Assisting field supervision with daily project coordination; proper handling and installation of plant materials, hardscape elements and irrigation systems; monitoring quality control; supporting jobsite safety initiatives and safe equipment operation; tracking field production quantities and progress u2022 Estimating & Preconstruction u2013 Gathering, calculating and compiling quantity take-off data; assembling bid proposal estimates; assisting with change order pricing; soliciting and coordinating subcontractor/vendor quotes; supporting cost tracking efforts u2022 Project Coordination u2013 Working alongside a Project Manager to manage document control including RFIs, submittals, change orders, billings, field production tracking, purchasing documentation and contract administration; assisting with scheduling of materials, equipment and subcontractors; participating in team meetings and project planning You might be a good fit if you are: u2022 Pursuing a Bacheloru2019s or Associate degree in Horticulture or related disciplines such as Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, Agriculture-Business, Landscape Design or Plant Science u2022 Ability to commit to a 12-week internship And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have : u2022 Effective oral and written communication skills u2022 Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail u2022 A strong work ethic and interest in field-based operations u2022 Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) Hereu2019s what to know about working here: At BrightView, weu2019re a tight-knit crew who are as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about each other.
