Job Title: Construction Materials TechnicianJob Description As a Construction Materials Technician, you will perform and record tests on various construction materials with accuracy and meticulousness. Working alongside experienced team members, you will operate independently to ensure that test results are logical, thorough, and ready for review. Additionally, you will maintain all laboratory equipment, ensuring it is in excellent condition and properly calibrated, which is key to maintaining the lab's efficiency and the accuracy of our testing procedures. Responsibilities + Perform and record tests on construction materials with precision. + Operate independently while ensuring test results are logical and thorough. + Maintain laboratory equipment in excellent condition. + Ensure proper calibration of all testing equipment to maintain accuracy. Essential Skills + Proficiency in concrete, asphalt, and soil testing. + Experience in construction materials testing and quality assurance. + Effective math skills with an understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure. + Effective communication skills in English, including speaking, reading, and writing. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School diploma or GED required. + 0-2 years of experience in a construction materials laboratory. + Active certifications in ACI: Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician. + ICC Special Inspector certifications in Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils. + DOT Certifications in Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and Concrete. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
