Supplier Development Engineer (Contract u2013 Hybrid) Locations: Charlotte, NC u2022 Orlando, FL u2022 Houston, TX Employer: _Manpower Engineering_ Type: Hybrid Contract - in office 3 days/week Manpower Engineering is seeking an Industrial Engineer u2013 Supplier Production Systems. You will be part of the global Supplier Development function within Strategic Procurement, responsible for strengthening supplier capability as a strategic lever for business performance and long-term competitiveness. The team operates across regions, partnering closely with procurement, engineering, quality, and operations. The function combines selective execution on priority supplier topics with a strong focus on enabling teams and harmonizing supplier development practices across the enterprise. This is a hybrid contract position based in Charlotte, Orlando or Houston. A Snapshot of your day: You will work on strengthening the industrial maturity of Siemens Energyu2019s global supply base, particularly in high-complexity manufacturing environments. Your day-to-day work spans deep, focused engagement on critical topics such as capacity, production stability, and system robustness, as well as collaboration with Siemens Energy teams to scale proven approaches. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams across Siemens Energy, enabling and guiding supplier improvement efforts broadly, and providing targeted hands-on support for priority situations as needed. This role focuses on supplier production systems and capability building rather than site-based Industrial Engineering support or day-to-day quality escalation. You will operate across regions and cultures as part of day-to-day work, engaging effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders across different organizational contexts. Your work directly impacts supplier capability, execution predictability, and the long-term resilience of Siemens Energyu2019s supply chain. How Youu2019ll Make an Impact + Improve supplier production systems by diagnosing constraints, stability issues, and capability gaps, and driving targeted improvement actions, covering topics such as capacity modeling, bottleneck/constraint analysis, flow and lead-time improvement, and KPI definition/operating routines + Proactively evolve supplier capabilities, including production technologies and manufacturing methods, alongside capacity and system robustness + Translate clientu2019s enterprise priorities into sequenced supplier development initiatives + Convert hands-on improvement experience into standard work, playbooks, and training that scale across the organization + Operate effectively in matrix organizations through sustained influence and technical credibility + Balance selective hands-on execution with broader enablement through structured methods and guidance What You Bring + Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering + Significant professional experience delivering measurable improvements in production systems, operations, or supplier capability in high-complexity industrial environments + Strong analytical skills and comfort using data, analytics, and emerging digital/AI-based tools to support decisions and performance discussions + Ability to document methods clearly and enable others through coaching and training + Ability to operate effectively in matrix organizations through collaboration and influence + Willingness to travel internationally up to 40% (travel varies by supplier priorities and project phase) If this is a role that interests you and youu2019d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
