JOB REQUIREMENTS: View all jobsIndustrial Paint Supervisor - 2ndShiftWest Allis, Wisconsin Manufacturing Global Power Componentsis aprivately held,growingmanufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks,trailers, large generator enclosures and metal modular equipment centersfor housing fully equipped electrical distribution and controlequipment. As a result of our expansion, we are looking for a IndustrialPaint Supervisor Responsibilities: Work closely with Production Managerto meet production goals Coordinate daily activities of variousproduction departments, delegating job responsibilites to appropriateshift personnel Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders toworkers Plan and organize work for assigned workers to meet the scheduleMaintain production workflow between workers and departments Monitor allproduction for quality and make adjustments as necessary Monitor all thechanges in the production schedule and make workflow modificationsaccordingly Troubleshoot and solve production problems as they occurMotivate team members to complete assignments in a timely, accuratemanner, assuring effective use of all personnel Train new productionemployees to bring them up to speed in a timely manner Check allproduction equipment to ensure it is in good working order Work in asafe manner and promote safety to all employees Effectively use rawmaterials to reduce waste Communicate with all levels in theorganization so all employees are aware of schedules and changes andother information related to the jobs they have been assigned tocomplete Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctionsSkills/requirements: 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience Minimum of2 years supervisory experience Ability to work in a fast pacedenvironment in an effective, safe manner Six Sigma Black Beltcertification preferred, but not required Welding experience helpful,but not required Must be detail oriented Strong problem solving skillsProject management skills a plus Minimum high school diploma or GEDAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules andprocedure manuals Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in allunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to bend, twist, stoop and climb laddersAbility to work 40 to 50 hours per week on 2nd shift Equal OpportunityEmployer/Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Global Power Components isan Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
