JOB REQUIREMENTS: Mead & Hunt's corporate Foresight + Innovation +Technology (FIT) program serves to cultivate a culture of continuousimprovement, exploration and innovation across the firm and supportsapplied research and development efforts that create value for clients.FIT supports research and development within the company to addressimportant topics related to emerging trends and technology transformingthe Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. We areseeking a forward-thinking individual with a strong research anddevelopment background to explore assigned innovation topics. You mayresearch topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, datascience, automation, digital twins, robotics, environmental engineeringand emerging software tools and how such topics will affect the AECindustry and the communities in which we work. You will collaborate with small teams to perform research,analyze data. and relate to real-world applications in the AEC industry.The hours for this position could vary weekly from 16 to 24, andpotentially up to 40. This position will work in-person in our WestAllis, WI (Milwaukee area) office. If you are a creative problem solverwith a strong desire to apply your technical and research skills toreal-world challenges, this is the internship for you You will alsohave the opportunity to engage with company leaders to understand thebusiness operations and network with staff to give you broad exposure tothe AEC consulting industry. The culmination of your summer is a formalpresentation and written summary of research findings delivered tocompany leaders and the FIT program. Candidates should have strongcommunication and organizational skills and be comfortable using Teams.The successful candidate must: Be enrolled in a degree program and havecompleted at least two semesters of college-level coursework in thefield of engineering, software engineering, computer science, artificialintelligence, data science, cyber security, or related technical fieldBe able to demonstrate at least one completed academic or appliedproject that included a strong research component. The ideal candidatewill have any/all of the following: Prior research experience intotopics described above Experience working collaboratively in small,project-based team environments Experience analyzing data and compilingfindings into a written summary report Experience working in a virtualteam...
