Job Summary As the designresponsible engineer of key systems/components for the Fuel Systems &Fender team you will have the opportunity to collaborate withcross-functional stakeholders from design, engineering, manufacturing,and service to develop and deliver systems that balance the needs ofthese stakeholders while optimizing the design for function, visuals,weight, cost, and manufacturability. Through deep knowledge andunderstanding of your systems, you will drive the design to meet therequirements of the vehicle and the program and follow the design toproduction. You will have the opportunity to design great motorcycles,utilizing our Great Harley-Davidson Engineering (GHDE) methodology andfront-loaded Product Development Process (PDP) to enable delivery ofhighly desirable motorcycles. Job Responsibilities Design, optimize,integrate, and deliver robust component/system designs from concept toproduction that optimize stakeholder needs. Create CAD models, largevirtual assemblies and detailed drawings / PRDs utilizing techniqueswithin Creo Parametric software. Own detailed project plans forrequirement setting, part development and procurement, test planning andtesting. Leverage analytical methods and test data to help optimizesystems and components for cost, weight and quality improvements. Verifysystem performance to H-D standards, approve supplier validation, andwork with test and verification entities to ensure systems meet orexceed targets.
