JOB REQUIREMENTS: Project Manager I Mortenson is seeking an experiencedProject Manager I (Controls) to lead projects with professionalism,flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. This roleinvolves managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring theproject team, and developing strong customer relationships throughexcellent service and communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES FinancialManagement & Cost Control Own and manage the overall financial health ofthe project, including budget adherence, cost forecasting, and marginprotection Develop, maintain, and reconcile project financialprojections, cash flow, and equipment forecasts Allocate the projectestimate into the financial system, establish cost codes, and ensureaccurate cost tracking Monitor cost trends, identify variances, andproactively implement corrective actions Review, approve, and processinvoices to ensure alignment with contract terms, budget, andwork-in-place Billing, Contracts & Change Management Prepare and submitmonthly owner billings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper backupdocumentation Coordinate project financials and billings with accountingManage subcontractor and supplier contracts, including scope alignment,compliance, and financial controls Lead change order pricing, review,negotiation, and execution, protecting project financial positionSupport and lead EPC contract negotiations, including commercial terms,technical exhibits, and schedule requirements Procurement & Buyout Leadthe procurement, bid, and award process for major subcontractors andsuppliers Ensure buyout aligns with the approved budget, projectschedule, and risk profile Evaluate trade partner pricing,qualifications, and contract terms with a focus on cost certainty andvalue Team Leadership & Development Manage and develop Assistant ProjectManagers and Project Engineers with a focus on financial rigor andaccountability Approve timecards, provide regular feedback, and supportprofessional growth of the project team Set clear expectations aroundcost tracking, documentation, and financial reporting Collaboration &Communication Partner with Superintendents and field leadership to aligncost, schedule, and execution strategies Communicate clearly andprofessionally with internal stakeholders, customers, and trade partnersBuild strong, trust-based customer relationships through transparentfinancial reporting and issue resolution QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor'sdegree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering,Construction Management, or equivalent experience Minimum six years ofrelated construction project management experience, preferably oncomplex or large-scale projects Demonstrated strength in costmanagement, forecasting, contract administration, and change managementProven ability to...
