Lead Systems Programmer - CICS

Will work partial onsite in Raleigh NC We are looking for a Minimum of 7 yearsu2019 mainframe development experience in design, analysis, and coding, working with CICS, JCL, MVS, VSAM, and mainframe change management tools. Must be proficient in the environment listed above. + Looking for CICS system programmer, not applications + Install, care & feeding, security, best practices + Mainframe Deposit applications + Cobol CICS, CICS Web Services, CICS Transaction Gateway and/or experience with mainframe MuleSoft API middleware integration Job Title: Lead Systems Programmer Essential Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be responsible for: + (25 %) Change Coordination & Oversight: Plan, review, and lead execution of complex upgrades and configuration changes across supported platforms. + (20 %) Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the SME for one or more subsystems and advise on risk mitigation strategies. + (15 %) Mentoring & Team Enablement: Mentor junior and mid-level programmers, guiding them through tasks and incident response. + (15 %) Incident Management & Recovery: Lead resolution of high priority incidents and provide post-mortem documentation as requested. + (15%) Architecture Collaboration: Partner with infrastructure architects to align subsystem configurations with enterprise standards. + (10%) Process Standardization: Define and maintain runbooks, configuration baselines, and audit-ready documentation. Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): + High School diploma or equivalent + 7 years of experience in one or more mainframe support areas (e.g., CICS, DB2, DASD, Network, 3 rd party tools, z/OS, etc.). Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): + Associate degree in Information Technology or related field. + Experience leading complex migrations, implementing automation, and engaging vendors. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.50/hr.
