Role Number: 200652235-3401 Summary Touch ID is how millions of people unlock their devices, authorize payments, and protect their most sensitive data. We're looking for an electrical engineer who wants to own designsu2014not just execute them. You'll shape sensor module architectures, make electrical design decisions, and see your work ship in Apple products. Description The Sensing Systems team integrates MEMS, magnetic, and capacitive sensors across Apple's product lines. On the Touch ID team, you'll design sensor modules that are central to security and user experience.This role is for an engineer ready to move beyond task execution to design ownership. You'll propose circuit solutions, evaluate tradeoffs, and defend your technical decisions to cross-functional partners. You'll have the opportunity to influence system-level architectureu2014not just implement specifications handed to you. When problems arise, you'll exercise judgment to identify root causes and drive design improvements.We're looking for someone with strong analog fundamentals and the initiative to shape technical direction. You'll work alongside experienced engineers who will challenge your thinking and support your growth, while giving you real ownership of designs that matter. Minimum Qualifications + Solid analog circuit design fundamentals with hands-on design experience + Experience with circuit simulation (SPICE) and lab bring-up/debug + Proficiency with data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, or similar) + BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience Preferred Qualifications + Experience with sensing systems (capacitive, optical, MEMS, or similar) + Familiarity with PCB or flex circuit design + Exposure to full product development lifecycle, from concept to production + Ability to independently evaluate design tradeoffs and propose solutions + Experience presenting technical recommendations to cross-functional audiences + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Familiarity with signal integrity or power integrity concepts Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
