This positionu00a0worksu00a0withu00a0front-line fundraisers and philanthropic advisorsu00a0tou00a0grow revenue and increaseu00a0impact, andu00a0collaborates across teams especially with Marketing & Communications (on donor communications & engagement) and IT (on CRM management andu00a0utilization).u00a0u00a0 Authorityu00a0u00a0u00a0 The Director, Donor Operations & Strategy is part of theu00a0Philanthropy and Gift Planning Department (PGP)u00a0department, whichu00a0is responsible foru00a0engaging donors to raise funds and to moveu00a0resources into the community.u00a0The positionu00a0reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer andu00a0manages a team of three.u00a0u00a0 Roleu00a0u00a0u00a0 The Director fulfills supervisory responsibilitiesu00a0in accordance withu00a0theu00a0SFF's policies and applicable laws andu00a0is responsible foru00a0interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; and all aspects of performance management.u00a0 Tasksu00a0 + Lead the creationu00a0and execution of au00a0best-in-class donor engagement strategy,u00a0including developingu00a0a segmented approach tou00a0donoru00a0engagement.u00a0 + Provide leadership for process optimization and technology enhancements to drive improved relationship management with donors, impact, and reporting.u00a0 + Identifyu00a0and develop opportunities to build a more effective and efficient Philanthropy & Gift Planning Department.u00a0u00a0 + Partneru00a0with the Marketing & Communicationsu00a0Departmentu00a0on donoru00a0and prospectu00a0engagementu00a0including donoru00a0and professional advisoru00a0newsletters, events, and other outreachu00a0 + Work and communicate cross-departmentally to drive projects forward and ensure alignment, serving as a liaison betweenu00a0PGP and other departments (especially Marketing & Communications, IT, andu00a0Community Impact)u00a0and Grants Managementu00a0to ensure adequate understanding of processes and how work of different departments intersects and can be complementary and collaborativeu00a0 + Manageu00a0theu00a0PGP Operations Manager, Operations Associate, and Events Manager.u00a0 + In partnership with the CPO, develop a Donor Segmentation Framework and continually work to balance portfoliosu00a0to maximize staff success andu00a0optimizeu00a0donor potential.u00a0 + Developu00a0strategyu00a0and support the execution ofu00a0a small portfolio of donor events.u00a0u00a0 + Create systems to ensure excellent donor experiences, including but not limited tou00a0new donor set up andu00a0ensuring smoothu00a0transitions among PGPu00a0sub-teams,u00a0donor stewardship, measuring portfolio engagement,u00a0and all aspects of how SFF engages with donors.u00a0 + Serve as the PGP lead representative on the implementation of SFFu2019s technology roadmap.u00a0 Competencies & Qualificationsu00a0u00a0 + 7+u00a0years of relevant experience andu00a03u00a0yearsu00a0ofu00a0peopleu00a0management experienceu00a0u00a0 + Experience inu00a0development andu00a0donor engagement, working to support donor relations for ultra-high-net worth individuals and familiesu00a0 + Experience in CRM systems and using CRMs for business development, reporting for impact, and decision making, Salesforce preferred.u00a0 + Exceptional project management skillsu00a0 + Ability to collaborateu00a0and influenceu00a0across departmentsu00a0u00a0 + Desire and ability to learn new applications quickly and innovate on processesu00a0 + Demonstrated interest in SFFu2019s mission and commitment to equity in the Bay Areau00a0 + Active listening, critical thinking, and a willingness to listen to dissident voicesu00a0u00a0 + People management and development, humility, and high emotional intelligenceu00a0 + Intermediate to advanced computer/software skills, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Teams) andu00a0Zoom.u00a0u00a0 + Ability to learn, navigate and manage online platforms, includingu00a0Fluxx, Qlik sense, Smartsheet, Salesforce,andu00a0Adaptiveu00a0 Compensation:u00a0The San Francisco Foundation offersu00a0a very competitiveu00a0total compensation package including base compensation in alignment with our organizational budget size and rich medical and fringe benefits offerings.
