This critical role requires advanced expertise in network operations, strategic problem-solving, and proactive network management to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our meshONE-T capability. As a NOC Specialist, you will be the first line of defense for network-related issues, directly contributing to the efficiency, stability, and security of mission-critical systems supporting the United States Air Force (USAF),United States Space Force (USSF)mission and associated mission partners.This is a shift-based operational position where you will oversee the administration and management of the ground component of the larger meshONE capability. This capability spans across various mediums, environments, and warfighting domains, providing end-to-end network solutions in support of USAF, USSF missions, and their mission partners.Overview/Jobu00a0Responsibilities:u00a0- Advanced Network Monitoring:u00a0Continuously monitor network performance, system alerts, and key metrics, often leading complex investigations into network performance and security issues.u00a0Regularly evaluate network performance and implement improvements or adjustments to meet mission objectives. Collaborate across functional areas to resolve issues and enhance network availability for mission partners.u00a0- Advanced Issue Resolution:u00a0Diagnose and resolve intricate network issues, often involving multiple systems or requiring in-depth knowledge of network protocols.u00a0Rapidly identify and troubleshoot network issues, escalate as necessary, and take appropriate actions to resolve service disruptions. Monitor adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure timely interventions.u00a0Specialists are expected to handle escalations from technicians.u00a0- Incident Management Leadership:u00a0Lead incident management, initiating response protocols, coordinating with senior stakeholders, and ensuring comprehensive documentation and communication with mission partners.u00a0- Strategic System Maintenance:u00a0Engage in higher-level system optimization, working closely with engineering teams to implement long-term improvements, scalability initiatives, and system-wide upgrades.u00a0Assist in maintaining and optimizing network hardware, software, and configurations to enhance network performance, scalability, and resilience.u00a0- Reporting and Analysis:u00a0Generate detailed performance reports and provide strategic recommendations for network improvements based on thorough analysis.u00a0- Project Involvement:u00a0Participate in or lead special projects such as new technology deployments, network architecture reviews, or optimization efforts. Specialists often contribute to the design and planning phases.u00a0- Collaboration:u00a0Work closely with network engineers, IT teams, and external vendors to align network-related activities with organizational goals and mission partner requirements.u00a0- Compliance & Security:u00a0Ensure all network activities comply with security protocols, organizational standards, and regulatory requirements to protect sensitive operations.u00a0- Management:u00a0Effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment, while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality performance.u00a0- Communication:u00a0Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and precise interaction with team members, leadership, and mission partners.u00a0- Continuous Learning:u00a0Stay current with evolving trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices in network operations, security, and defense-related innovations.u00a0- Mentorship and Training:u00a0Assist in training and mentoring NOC Technic ans andu00a0otheru00a0staff members, ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to best practices.u00a0u00a0Position Details:u00a0- Job Type: Full-Timeu00a0- Work Environment:u00a0Position is a rotational shift work position dedicated to supporting 24x7 NOC operations.u00a0- Location:u00a0Position is currently located at the Colorado Springs, CO,u00a0Sev1Tech office, with an anticipated transition to Schriever SFB, COu00a0- Travel:u00a0Some travel throughout the Colorado Front Range Area (Colorado Springs to Boulder) is expectedu00a0Salary Range:u00a0$85K - $95K based on experienceu00a0 Responsibilities- Bachelor's degreeu00a0in information technology, Computer Science, or related filedu00a0andu00a03u00a0years relevant work experienceu00a0- 3+ years of experience in a network operations role, preferably in a NOC environment.u00a0- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds,u00a0NetBrain,u00a0nGenius,u00a0Nagious, PRTG).u00a0- Strong understanding of network protocolsu00a0(e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).u00a0- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshootingu00a0routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.u00a0- Knowledge of network security principles and bestu00a0practices.u00a0- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively, even under pressure.u00a0- Incident managementu00a0experienceu00a0andu00a0knowledgeu00a0ofu00a0incident management tools.u00a0- Previous leadership and experience in mentoring.u00a0- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.u00a0- A collaborative mindset and ability to work well in a team environment.u00a0u00a0SECURITY CLEARANCE: Top Secret/SCI Eligibility Qualifications- Any of the following certifications: CCNA,u00a0CompTIA Network+,u00a0CND, SSCP,u00a0CySA+, GICSP, Network+, GSEC.u00a0- Experience with automationu00a0andu00a0monitoringu00a0tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash,u00a0ServiceNOW).u00a0- Familiarity with incident response frameworks (e.g., ITSMu00a0or ITIL).u00a0- Understanding of specific requirements and challenges in theu00a0meshONE-T mission or similar operations.u00a0- Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) or other Federalu00a0contracts.u00a0PI283220388
