Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Pediatrics / Neuro Diagnostics Location:Indianapolis, IN Facility: IU Health Riley Hospital for Children Pay Rate: $70 $75/hour Shift: Night Shift (3x12 hours) 7:00 PM 7:00 AM Start Date: April 6, 2026 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience in Pediatrics and Neuro Diagnostics to join a leading childrens hospital in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will provide advanced respiratory care to pediatric patients, including those with complex neurological and respiratory conditions, while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team. Minimum Requirements Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC) Valid Indiana state license (or compact eligibility) Minimum 2 years of pediatric respiratory therapy experience preferred Experience in neurodiagnostics or EEG monitoring is highly desirable Current BLS certification (required) PALS and/or NRP certification preferred Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, and interventions in acute care settings Assist in neurodiagnostic procedures, including monitoring and supporting patients during EEGs and related studies Manage and operate ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and other respiratory support equipment Administer aerosol medications and oxygen therapy as prescribed Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans accordingly Respond to emergency situations, including code blue and rapid response events Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions Educate patients families on respiratory care plans and equipment use Work Environment Pediatric acute care hospital setting Fast-paced, high-acuity environment Night shift coverage with rotating weekends and holidays as required
