Assistant Controller

Description We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the companyu2019s daily treasury operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Provide support to the Controller and other accounting team members with assigned tasks and responsibilities. u2022 Lead and mentor two team members in the accounting department on a day-to-day basis. u2022 Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine accounting processes and procedures. u2022 Act as a financial resource for non-accounting staff and external business partners. u2022 Develop expertise to become a highly skilled financial specialist within the construction industry. u2022 Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and audits. u2022 Utilize industry-specific software to manage financial data effectively Requirements u2022 Active CPA license or successful completion of the CPA exam with certification in progress. u2022 At least three years of relevant accounting experience, with construction industry knowledge preferred. u2022 Strong communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and financial reporting. u2022 Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement.
