We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Armyu2019s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft. This position is onsite at Bellu2019s Drive System Center (DSC) in Grand Prairie, Texas. 1stShift (630AM-4:00PM) u2013 Will have mandatory OT weekend shift (rotation typically once a month every 4-6 weeks). This position will supervise employees at Plant 1 and Plant 11. Front Line Leader u2013 Tooling Service Department Bring your experience to support a team thatu2019s defining tooling excellence that thrills our customers and redefine the way the world flies. This role will be an integral part of the team, helping execute day-to-day. Responsible for the overall execution and performance of an assigned area. What youu2019ll be doing as a Front Line Leader u2013 Tooling Service: Responsible for general assigning, managing and directing of the daily tool fabrication department activities of up to 25 union covered employees within their assigned area to attain economy of operations, maximize throughput, and ensure profitable production, repair and maintenance of production tooling. Responsible for driving performance, safety, quality of work, managing cost, and managing employee relations. Managing performance of employees when necessary, including performance evaluation and correction steps when needed. Manage in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement. Metrics driven accountability for performance: TAKT metrics, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges. Achieve objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions (such as Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Quality, etc.). Qualifications Skills You Bring to This Role: High school diploma or GED required. Bacheloru2019s degree preferred. 5 years of directly related tooling experience, including work with perishable or portable tools, and precision tool setting Preferred understanding of precision tooling such as calipers, etc. Seeking an individual who can be an empowering team leader. Being goal-oriented and data driven with a strong sense of urgency. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Zoler set machines preferred, Tooling Machine Service (TMS) and various databases. Effective interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organization skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. NOTE: Bell/Textron Relocation Assistance is NOT available for this role.
