As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. At a busy retail location, you will patrol assigned areas and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents while assisting shoppers, tenants, and staff. This unarmed role blends customer service, communication, and routine patrols in a dynamic environment. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Tue11:00 PM - 07:30 AM Wed11:00 PM - 07:30 AM Fri11:00 PM - 07:30 AM Sat11:00 PM - 07:30 AM What You'll Do: + Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. + Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shopping center, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions. + Monitor entrances, storefront areas, and high-traffic locations for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access, while following post orders and client guidelines. + Assist with access control, crowd management, and/or directional support during peak business hours, special events, and store opening or closing activities. Minimum Requirements: + At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. + A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. + Customer service experience is preferred. + Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. + The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driveru2019s license will be required for driving positions only.
