About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance team. In this role, you will support the organizationu2019s adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies by researching and resolving compliance matters, assessing risk, and recommending enhancements to strengthen our control environment. Under the direction of the AVP of Compliance, you will independently perform a variety of compliance duties, contribute to compliance program improvements, and help support internal and external inquiries, audits, and regulatory exams. Youu2019ll also stay current on regulatory developments and assist the department in adapting to industry changes as efficiently and effectively as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, audit, risk management, financial services, or insurance who enjoys digging into requirements, partnering with the business, and helping operational teams implement practical, sustainable controls. What Youu2019ll Do + Support and enhance compliance programs by assessing program needs and recommending changes within an assigned discipline. + Identify, evaluate, and help mitigate risk by assisting in the creation and implementation of controls. + Conduct risk assessments, process walkthroughs, and control identification workshops with business partners. + Support regulatory exams, market conduct exams, and internal/external audits by coordinating information requests, assembling documentation, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timely responses. + Execute testing programs to assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls and processes. + Review business processes and transactions for adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements. + Identify and communicate non-compliance issues and opportunities for improvement, escalating as appropriate and partnering on corrective action plans. + Perform issue follow-up and support escalation when needed to ensure resolution. + Assist with reporting and materials for senior management, committees, boards, and other governance groups. + Contribute to projects supporting the design, creation, implementation, and management of compliance programs. + Assist with product and regulatory filings as needed. + Build and maintain basic industry knowledge through ongoing learning opportunities. + Perform other duties as assigned. What Youu2019ll Bring Required Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree (or equivalent relevant work experience). + 2u20134 years of relevant experience in compliance, audit, risk management, financial services, or insurance, with a basic understanding of controls. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. + Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations, bulletins, and internal policy requirements. + Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy across documentation and deliverables. + Comfort working in complex environmentsu2014able to organize information, prioritize, and follow through. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + High degree of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information. + Ability to work independently, with appropriate escalation, and to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications + JD degree (preferred). + Prior experience supporting regulatory exams (including market conduct exams), audits, or compliance testing. + Experience in an insurance environment (particularly helpful, though not required unless you want it to be).
